ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔ ဒီတစ္ခါ too အေၾကာင္းကို ၾကည့္ရေအာင္။ too နဲ႔ဆိုင္တာေတြကို ေက်ာင္း သင္ခန္းစာမွာလည္း က်ယ္က်ယ္ျပန္႔ျပန္႔ပါေတာ့ သေဘာတရားကို နားလည္ထားရင္ ဘယ္ေနရာမွာမဆို အဆင္ေျပမွာပါ။

ပုံေလးကို စၾကည့္ပါ။

ပထမပုံမွာ ေကာင္ေလးစီးထားတဲ့ ရွဴးဖိနပ္ကို ၾကည့္ၾကည့္ပါဦး။ မေတာ္တေရာ္စီးထားတာေလ။ သူနဲ႔ဆိုရင္ ဖိနပ္က ၾကီးလြန္းေနတာေပါ့။ ဒါဆိုရင္ ဒီလိုေျပာႏိုင္ပါတယ္။

§  His shoes are too big for him.

သူ႔ရဲ႕ရွဴးဖိနပ္ေတြက သူ႔အတြက္ ၾကီးလြန္းေနတယ္။

ေနာက္ထပ္တစ္ပုံမွာလည္းၾကည့္ပါဦး။ သၾကားကို ခြက္ထဲ မနည္းမေနာထည့္ေနတာ။ တကယ္ေတာ့ ေတာ္ရံုသင့္ရံုထည့္မွ ေသာက္လုိ႔ေကာင္းမွာကို သူထည့္ထားပုံက မ်ားလြန္းသြားျပီ။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ ခုလိုေျပာႏိုင္ပါတယ္။

§  There is too much sugar in it.

ဒီထဲမွာ သၾကားမ်ားလြန္းေနျပီ။

အခုထိၾကည့္လိုက္မယ္ဆိုရင္ too က မ်ားလြန္း၊ ပိုလြန္းတဲ့အဓိပၸာယ္ရွိမွန္းသိျပီးေရာေပါ့။ သူ႔ရဲ႕ပုံစံကို ၾကည့္ရေအာင္။

too ကို Adjective/ Adverb နဲ႔ သုံးပါတယ္။ အေပၚက ဥပမာေတြအတိုင္းဆို too big တို႔ too much တုိ႔ေပါ့။ ဒီပုံစံနဲ႔ မွတ္ရေအာင္။

too+adjective/adverb (too big/too hard etc.)

ဥပမာေလးေတြ ၾကည့္ရေအာင္။

§  Can you turn the radio down?

ေရဒီယိုအသံေလွ်ာ့ေပးပါလား။

It’s too loud. (=louder than I want)

က်ယ္လြန္းေနတယ္။ (=ကိုယ္လိုခ်င္တာထက္ ပိုက်ယ္ေနတယ္)

§  I can’t work. I’m too tired.

ငါအလုပ္မလုပ္ႏိုင္ဘူး။ ငါပင္ပန္းလြန္းေနတယ္။

§  I think you work too hard.

မင္းအလုပ္လုပ္လြန္းတယ္လို႔ ငါထင္တယ္။

too ရဲ႕အဓိပၸာယ္ကို အၾကမ္းဖ်င္းေျပာျပီးျပီေနာ္။ အခု အေသးစိတ္ ထပ္ၾကည့္ရေအာင္။

too much/ too many ဆိုတာ လိုခ်င္တာထက္ ပိုေသာ၊ ေကာင္းတာထက္ပိုေသာ ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပၸာယ္ပါ။ အဂၤလိပ္လိုတြဲမွတ္ပါ။

too much/too many = more than you want, more than is good

§  I don’t like the weather here. There is too much rain. (=more rain than is good)

ဒီက ရာသီဥတုကို ကြ်န္ေတာ္မၾကိဳက္ဘူး။ မိုးမ်ားလြန္းတယ္။ (ေကာင္းတဲ့ အေနအထားထက္ပိုတဲ့ မိုး)

§  Let’s go to another restaurant. There are too many people here.

တျခားဆိုင္တစ္ဆိုင္ကို သြားၾကစို႔။ ဒီမွာ လူမ်ားလြန္းတယ္။

§  Emily studies all the time. I think she studies too much.

အမ္မလီက တခ်ိန္လုံး စာလုပ္ေနတယ္။ သူစာလုပ္တာ မ်ားလြန္းေနတယ္လို႔ ငါထင္တယ္။

§  Traffic is a problem in this town. There are too many cars.

ဒီျမိဳ႕မွာ ယာဥ္အသြားအလာက ျပႆနာတစ္ခုပဲ။ ကားေတြမ်ားလြန္းတယ္။

too and not enough ကို ႏိႈင္းယွဥ္ၾကည့္ရေအာင္။

too ကို အရင္ၾကည့္မယ္။

§  The hat is too big for him.

ဒီဦးထုပ္က သူ႔အတြက္ ၾကီးလြန္းတယ္။

§  The music is too loud. Can you turn it down, please?

ဂီတသံက က်ယ္လြန္းတယ္။ ေက်းဇူးျပဳျပီး အသံေလွ်ာ့ေပးႏိုင္မလား။

§  There’s too much sugar in my coffee. (=more sugar than I want)

not enough ကိုလည္းၾကည့္ပါဦး။ ဘာသာျပန္တာေတြကေတာ့ ဆီေလ်ာ္ေအာင္ ျပန္တာ မဟုတ္ဘဲ not enough ကို ေပၚလြင္ေအာင္ ျပန္ထားလို႔ ျမန္မာဝါက်အေနနဲ႔ နည္းနည္း ေထာက္ေန ပါလိမ့္မယ္။

§  The hat isn’t big enough for him. (=it’s too small)

ဒီဦးထုပ္က သူ႔အတြက္လုံေလာက္ေအာင္ မၾကီးဘူး။ (အဲဒါ ေသးလြန္းေနတယ္)

§  The music isn’t loud enough. Can you turn it up, please?

ဒီဂီတသံက လုံေလာက္ေအာင္ မက်ယ္ဘူး။ ေက်းဇူးျပဳျပီး အသံခ်ဲ႕ေပးပါလား။

§  There’s not enough sugar in my coffee. (=I need more sugar)

§  နင္က အရမ္းပိန္ေနတယ္။ နင္လုံလုံေလာက္ေလာက္မစားဘူး။

အဂၤလိပ္ေတြ ဒီလိုသုံးၾကပါတယ္။ ဒီပုံစံေတြလည္း မွတ္သားပါ။

§  These shoes are too big for me.

ဒီရွဴးဖိနပ္ေတြက ကြ်န္ေတာ့္အတြက္ ၾကီးလြန္းေနတယ္။

§  It’s a small house – too small for a large family.

ဒါက အိမ္ေသးေလးတစ္လုံးပါ။ မိသားစုအၾကီးတစ္ခုအတြက္ဆို ေသးလြန္းေနတယ္။

ကြ်န္ေတာ္ အျပင္မထြက္ႏိုင္ေလာက္ေအာင္ ပင္ပန္းေနတယ္။

She speaks too fast for me to understand.

သူက ေျပာတာျမန္လြန္းလို႔ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ နားမလည္ဘူး။
