ဒီအမ်ားၾကီးထဲမွာ many, much, little, few ကို အရင္ ခြဲထုတ္ၾကည့္ရေအာင္။

many/much - မ်ား
little/few - နည္း

ဒီလို ေယဘုယ်သိထားတာ ရွိလိမ့္မယ္။

အေသးစိတ္ၾကည့္ၾကတာေပါ့။

much နဲ႔ little ကို ေရတြက္လို႔ မရတဲ့ နာမ္ေတြနဲ႔ သုံးတယ္။
ဥပမာ -

little energy (စြမ္းအင္)

many နဲ႔ few ကိုေတာ့ ေရတြက္လို႔ရတဲ့ နာမ္ေတြနဲ႔ သုံးတယ္။

a lot of / lots of / plenty of လည္း မ်ားတာကို ေျပာတာပါပဲ။ ဒါေပမဲ့ ဒါေတြကို ေရတြက္လို႔ရတဲ့ နာမ္နဲ႔ေရာ ေရတြက္လို႔မရတဲ့ နာမ္နဲ႔ပါ သုံးတယ္။
ဥပမာ -
a lot of luck (luck က ေရတြက္လို႔ မရတဲ့နာမ္)
a lot of friends (friends က ေရတြက္လို႔ရတဲ့နာမ္)
lots of time
lots of people
plenty of money
plenty of ideas

အတိုခ်ဳပ္ျပန္ၾကည့္မယ္။
much/little - ေရတြက္မရ
many/few - ေရတြက္ရ
a lot of/lots of/plenty - ေရတြက္မရ & ေရတြက္ရ

plenty - "ေပါမ်ားေသာ" ဆိုတာ လုံေလာက္တာထက္ ပိုေနတာ (more than enough) ကို ဆိုလိုပါတယ္။
There's no need to worry. We've got plenty of time.
စိတ္ပူစရာမလိုပါဘူး။ ငါတို႔မွာ အခ်ိန္ေတြအမ်ားၾကီး ရွိေနတာပဲ။

ဝါက်အေၾကာင္းေျပာတဲ့အခါ ရိုးရိုး positive sentence ၊ အျငင္း negative sentence ၊ ေမးခြန္း question sentence ေတြ အေၾကာင္း သိၾကရတယ္မဟုတ္လား။ ခု much အေၾကာင္းထည့္သြင္းျပီး ၾကည့္ၾကမယ္။

ရိုးရိုးဝါက်ေတြမွာ (အထူးသျဖင့္ ေျပာစကားေတြမွာ) much ကို သုံးေနက်မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။ ေျပာခ်င္တာက much သုံးလို႔ မွားတာေတာ့ မဟုတ္ဘူး။ ဒါေပမဲ့ မသုံးၾကဘူးေပါ့။

တို႔ ပိုက္ဆံအမ်ားၾကီး သုံးခဲ့တယ္။ (We spent much money လို႔ မသုံးသင့္ဘူး)

ေမးခြန္းဝါက် >> Do you see David much?
ေဒးဗစ္ကို အမ်ားၾကီးေတြ႔ျဖစ္လား။ (ေမးခြန္း ဝါက်မို႔ much သုံးလို႔ အဆင္ေျပတယ္)
ရိုးရိုးဝါက် >> I see David a lot.
ငါေဒးဗစ္ကို အမ်ားၾကီးေတြ႔ခဲ့တယ္။

many နဲ႔ a lot of ကို ဝါက်ပုံစံ အားလုံးမွာ သုံးႏိုင္တယ္။
Many people drive too fast. (or) A lot of people drive too fast.
လူေတာ္ေတာ္မ်ားမ်ား ကားေမာင္းျမန္လြန္းတယ္။

Do you know many people? (or) Do you know a lot of people?
ခင္ဗ်ား လူအမ်ားၾကီးကို သိသလား။

There aren't many tourists here. (or)
There aren't a lot f tourists here.
ဒီမွာ ခရီးသြားေတြအမ်ားၾကီးမရွိဘူး။

many years/many weeks/ many days လို႔ပဲ သုံးျပီး a lot of years စသည္ျဖင့္ မသုံးတာ သတိျပဳပါ။
We've lived here for many years.
တို႔ဒီမွာ ေနလာတာ ႏွစ္ေပါင္းမ်ားစြာ ၾကာျပီ။

🍏 few = not many

Gary is very busy with his job. He has little time for other things.
ဂယ္ရီက သူ႔အလုပ္နဲ႔ ရႈပ္ေနတယ္။ တျခားကိစၥေတြအတြက္ အခ်ိန္သိပ္မရွိသေလာက္ပဲ။

Vicky doesn't like living in London. She has few friends there.
ဗစ္ကီက လန္ဒန္မွာေနရတာကို မၾကိဳက္ဘူး။ အဲဒီ္မွာ သူ႕မိတ္ေဆြေတြ မရွိသေလာက္ပဲေလ။

🍏 very little တို႔ very few တို႔လည္း ေျပာႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ ပိုေလးနက္သြားတာေပါ့။

သူက ကံေကာင္းတယ္။ သူ႔မွာ ျပႆနာေတြ မရွိသေလာက္ပဲ။

အေျခအေနေတြက သူ႔အတြက္ေတာ့ အဆင္မေျပလွဘူး။ သူ႔မွာ ျပႆနာ နည္းနည္း ရွိတယ္။

only a little / only a few တို႔လည္း သုံးႏိုင္တယ္။
