go ကို ဘယ္လိုမွန္မွန္ကန္ကန္ သုံးၾကမလဲ

ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔ ေက်ာင္းသားေတြ စာေရးရင္ “သြားတယ္” လို႔ ေျပာတဲ့အခါ go to… လို႔ ေျပာမယ့္အစား go လို႔ပဲ သုံးမိၾကတယ္။ တျခား အမႈမဲ့ အမွတ္မဲ့ ျဖစ္တတ္တာေတြလည္း ရွိပါတယ္။

go ကို အဂၤလိပ္စာမွာ သုံးၾကတဲ့ေနရာ မ်ားပါတယ္။ ဒီေနရာမွာေတာ့ go to…/go on…/ go for…/ go –ing ေတြ သုံးပုံကို ၾကည့္ၾကရေအာင္။

ပထမဆုံး go to ကို ၾကည့္ရေအာင္။ go to ကို go to work/ go to London/go to a concert စသည္ျဖင့္ သုံးပါတယ္။

ဥပမာဝါက်ေတြကို ၾကည့္ပါ။

 What time do you usually go to work?
ရွင္ဘယ္အခ်ိန္ အလုပ္ကို သြားေလ့ရွိသလဲ။
 I’m going to China next week.
ကြ်န္ေတာ္ ေရွ႕တစ္ပတ္ တရုတ္ကို သြားမယ္။
 Sophie didn’t want to go to the concert.
ဆိုဖီက ေဖ်ာ္ေျဖပြဲကို မသြားခ်င္ခဲ့ဘူး။
 “Where’s Tom?” “He’s gone to bed.”
“တြမ္ ဘယ္မွာလဲ” “သူအိပ္ရာဝင္သြားျပီ”
 I went to the dentist yesterday.
ကြ်န္ေတာ္ မေန႔က သြားဆရာဝန္ဆီ သြားခဲ့တယ္။

go to sleep ဆိုတာက start to sleep (စတင္ျပီး အိပ္တာ) ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

 I was very tired and went to sleep quickly.
ကြ်န္ေတာ္ အရမ္းပင္ပန္းေနေတာ့ ျမန္ျမန္ပဲ အိပ္ေပ်ာ္သြားတယ္။

go home ကိုေတာ့ to မပါဘဲ သုံးရတယ္။
 I’m going home now.
အခု အိမ္ျပန္ေတာ့မယ္။

go on ကိုေတာ့ ဒီလို သုံးရပါတယ္။
 go on holiday (အားလပ္ရက္ထြက္)
 go on a trip (ခရီးသြား)
 go on a tour (အလည္ခရီးသြား)
 go on a cruise (အေပ်ာ္ေရလမ္းခရီးထြက္)
 go on a strike (သပိတ္ေမွာက္)

We’re going on holiday next week.
ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔ ေရွ႕တစ္ပတ္ အားလပ္ရက္ထြက္မယ္။
Children often go on school trips.
ကေလးေတြက မၾကာမၾကာ ေက်ာင္းခရီးထြက္ေလ့ရွိတယ္။
Workers at the airport have gone on strike.
ေလဆိပ္က အလုပ္အသမားေတြ သပိတ္ေမွာက္ထားၾကတယ္။

go for ကို ေတာ့ ဒီလိုေနရာေတြမွာသုံးပါတယ္။

go (somewhere) for a walk
 “Where’s Emma?” “She’s gone for a walk.”
အမ္မာ ဘယ္မွာလဲ။ သူလမ္းေလွ်ာက္ထြက္သြားတယ္။

go (somewhere) for a run
 Do you go for a run every morning?
ခင္ဗ်ား မနက္တိုင္း ေျပးသလား။

go (somewhere) for a swim
 The water looks nice. I’m going for a swim.
ေရေကာင္းတဲ့ ပုံပဲ။ ငါေရသြားကူးဦးမယ္။

go (somewhere) for a drink
 I met Chris in town, so we went for coffee.
ျမိဳ႕ထဲမွာ ခရစၥနဲ႔ ငါေတြ႔ခဲ့တယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ တို႔ေကာ္ဖီသြားေသာက္ခဲ့တယ္။

go (somewhere) for a meal
 Shall we go out for a meal? I know a good restaurant.
ငါတို႔ အစားအေသာက္ ထြက္စားၾကမလား။ ဆိုင္ေကာင္းေကာင္း ငါသိတယ္။

Go + -ing

Go + -ing ပုံစံကို အားကစားေတြ (swimming = ေရကူး/ skiing = ႏွင္းေလွ်ာစီး စတာေတြ) နဲ႔ shopping (ေစ်းဝယ္ထြက္) တာေတြ အတြက္ သုံးတယ္။

ဒီလိုပုံစံေလးေတြေပါ့။

I go shopping.
He is going shopping.
We went fishing.
They have gone skiing.
She wants to go jogging (ေျဖးေျဖးမွန္မွန္ေျပး/ရြရြေျပး).

ဒီဥပမာေလးေတြ ၾကည့္ပါ။
Are you going shopping this afternoon?
ဒီမြန္းလြဲပိုင္း နင္ေစ်းဝယ္ထြက္မွာလား။
It’s a nice day. Let’s go swimming. (or Let’s go for a swim.)
သာယာတဲ့ေန႔ေလးပဲ။ ေရသြားကူးၾကရေအာင္။
Richard has a small boat and he often goes sailing.
ရစ္ခ်တ္မွာ ေလွကေလးရွိတယ္။ သူက မၾကာခဏ ရြက္ေလွစီးထြက္တယ္။
I went jogging before breakfast this morning.
ဒီမနက္ မနက္စာမစားခင္ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ေျဖးေျဖးမွန္မွန္ ေျပးခဲ့တယ္။

ဒီတိုင္းဖတ္တာထက္စာရင္ ဝါက်တည္ေဆာက္ပုံေလးေတြ မွတ္သားျပီး ကုိယ္ပိုင္ဝါက်ေလးေတြ ေရးၾကည့္ေျပာၾကည့္တာက ပိုေကာင္းပါတယ္။ အဂၤလိပ္စာ တိုးတက္ၾကပါေစ။
